Layer Metrics

This visualization provides multiple layers to explore different aspects of broadband notspots:

• Premises Under 10Mbps: Number of premises with broadband speeds less than 10Mbps
• Premises Under 50Mbps: Number of premises with broadband speeds less than 50Mbps
• Premises Under 100Mbps: Number of premises with broadband speeds less than 100Mbps
• Percent Under 10Mbps: Percentage of premises with speeds less than 10Mbps
• Percent Under 50Mbps: Percentage of premises with speeds less than 50Mbps
• Percent Under 100Mbps: Percentage of premises with speeds less than 100Mbps

Understanding Notspots

Broadband notspots are areas with limited high-speed connectivity. This map identifies:

• Critical notspots (under 10Mbps): Areas unable to reliably support basic online activities
• Standard broadband limitations (under 50Mbps): Areas with inadequate speeds for multiple users
• Superfast limitations (under 100Mbps): Areas lacking access to higher bandwidth services

Interpretation

• Darker colors indicate higher numbers/percentages of premises affected by speed limitations
